WHAT IS THE VARNA CHAMBER OF COMMERCE AND INDUSTRY?

• The Varna Chamber of Commerce and Industry is non-governmental, pubvlic organization, registered according to the Law for the legal entities of non-economic aim, in which, voluntarily could participate as members Bulgarian and foreign natural persons and legal entities that perform economic acttivities or are commercial representatives on the territory of the Varna region in conformity with the Bulgarian legislation.
• Members of the Varna Chamber of Commerce and Industry can be state institutions, branch unions and organizations, educational institutions and persons not dealing with economical activities but would be able to assist the Chamber in reaching its aims and performing its tasks.
• The Varna Chamber of Commerce and Industry is a member of the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and is one of the regional Chambers of commerce and industry in its system. The Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry is a nationally accepted organization of the employers according to the Labour Code and is a member of:
- International Chamber of Commerce - Paris
- The Eurochambers in Brussels
- The Association of the Chambers of Commerce and Industry on the Balkans
- The Association of the Chambers of Commerce and Industry in the Black Sea region
- the World trade centre
- the International Council for co-operation
- EURO INFO CENTRE
- EAN International
- CEFTA, SECI, CEI, etc.

WHAT ARE THE AIMS OF THE VARNA CHAMBER OF COMMERCE AND INDUSTRY?

• To represent and defend the rights and the interests of the business Circles in the region before the central and regional authorities.
• To assist and stiumulate its members initiative and activity
• To assist and stimulate the foreign economic contacts and business interests of the companies.
• To assist the development of the industrial, marketing, investment and information activity in the region.
• To render specialized services to the companies, connected with their commercial and industrial activities.

WHAT SPHERES DOES THE VARNA CHAMBER OF COMMERCE AND INDUSTRY PERFORM SERVICES IN?

• Maintenace of the Trade register of the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
• Issuing of certificates of origin, certificates of force majeure and certification of commercial papers.
• Issuing visa certification papers connected with business trips in Bulgaria.
• Organization of seminars and training for professional qualification and business culture.
• Organization of business missions,presentations, participation in fairs and exhibitions.
• Consultations on questions connected with the commercial law and the Customs.
• Consultations about the intellectual property.
• Consultations on the adoption of quality control systems ISO 9000.
• Consultations on international projects and programs.
• Consultations on barcodes of the goods EAH.
• Arbitrary court of the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

WHICH ARE THE MANAGEMENT BODIES OF THE VARNA CHAMBER OF COMMERCE AND INDUSTRY?

The General Assembly of the Varna Chamber of Commerce and Industry, consisting of all regular members.

The managing committee of the Chamber is elected by the General asembly and is convened at least once in a six month .

HOW TO BECOME A MEMBER OF THE VARNA CHAMBER OF COMMERCE AND INDUSTRY

• At present 137 companies, financial institutions, branch unions and educational institutions are members of the Varna Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
• An application, together with an updated Certificate showing no previous conviction, a recommendation from a member of the Chamber, the latest certified financial statement and two photographs of the manager of the company should be submitted
• Membership is obtained after a favourtable decision of the Chamber's Managing Committee and payment of the membership feee.

The membership feee is determined by the Managing committee and depends on the staff and the activity of the company.

The membership in the Varna Chamber of Commerce and Industry is proved by a Membership card.

REPRESENTATION OF THE VARNA CHAMBER OF COMMERCE AND INDUSTRY?

In the region the Chamber of Commerce and Industry participates in:
• the Regional board of employment
• the Municipal board of employment
• the Regional board for tripartite partnership
• the Regional board for healthy labour conditions
• the Regional board for development of the North-east region for planning

Internationally the Varna Chamber of Commerce and Industry participates in:
• Projects for South-east Europe of the Bureau of the German Chambers of Commerce and Industry Association.
• Projects of the German Centre for international migration and development
• Project of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Erfurt,Germany
• Agreements with Chambers of Commerce and Industry from Russia, Ukraine, Greece, Turkey, Roumania, Macedonia, Germany etc.
